Like I mentioned before, from a technical point of view, the game is flawless.
Octodad’s fierce battle with his arch-nemesis, a Chef, also has highlights worth remembering.Īll in all, I was surprised by the fact that the story seemed to be the best thing about this game about physics. The interactions between Octodad and his wife are some of my favorite memories of the game, as it reminds me how clueless love can make you (really, lady? no clue about him being an octopus, then?). The animations are really well done, and the dialogue has its moments. It runs great on Vita, though, and it looks surprisingly pretty.
The rest of the time I spent trying to like the game for what it was, and not for what I had wanted it to be. I have to admit, the fun factor of seeing Octodad squiggle about ran flat for me in about 5 minutes.
